Curious what I use behind the scenes?
Here, I will show you the professional tools I use to build the masterpieces. Tools are not something I cheap out on… I take pride in having professional equipment
If you click on any of them, it will take you to the product page where you can buy it. Or in the case of my workbench, a page that will give you a brief history lesson on the design
This is my custom Roubo Workbench. This is a time-tested design from the French craftsman Andre Roubo in the 1700's. It is still widely considered the best workbench design nearly 300 years later. This is one of the most critical tools in my shop because it has many different ways to hold workpieces still while I work.
This is my Grizzly G1033X 20" Planer. To put it simply, this reduces the thickness of wood that I run through it. A critical tool and the 20" width is a luxury to have - along with the monster 5hp motor
This is my South Bend SB1097 6" x 108" VS Oscillating Edge Sander. It has many different sanding functions to do flat parts, curves, angles, etc
This is my Grizzly G0834 12" Jointer with a 5HP motor. When wood first comes into the shop it is not flat or "square." This is the first step towards getting it into a flat, square, workable state.
This is my Laguna LT18 5HP bandsaw. It is made in Italy and is an absolute champ at resawing wood, cutting curves, or anything else I may task it with
This is my custom router table setup. Routers are used to do edge profiles and sometimes joinery as well. What I have here is the Woodpeckers 27x43 phenolic table, their 20x37 stand, their super fence, their SpinRite 3.25 HP motor. But then added the Incra Mast-R-Lift II, and the Incra clean-sweep dust cabinet. This makes for a virtually dust-free router table
This is my ClearVue CV1800 Dust Collection system with upgraded 16" impellar. With a 5HP motor, it connects to all of my large tools and acts as a giant vacuum to collect the dust from the machines as I operate them.
